(First day of my journey in pasum)
Assalamualaikum and a very good night. Alhamdulillah for another day. 15/5/2017 UPU results finally released! so today is the day. How was it? First and foremost, let me congratulate all of you 1999 batch in whatever offer y'all got, congratulations! whether you got the course that you want or not, please be grateful and never give up, alright ^_^ So, I feel like I want to write something tonight since one of my juniors ops no no, two of them got an offer to pursue their found./A-level at PASUM. Since I was a Pasum student batch 16/17, I would like to share some important things that y'all might want to know.
Okay, let's get started.
1. Make sure y'all check the details about the registration process that y'all will be going through soon and fill up all the forms that need to be filled up carefully. Don't take this for granted, you might do some mistakes that could lead you to a problem during the registration day. Nonono. you don't have to worry or nervous about the registration process, it will be conducted smoothly, I believe that. Therefore, I would go straight to the things that you should prepare.
2. Things that are essential for you to bring:
- the attires should be "baju kurung" , you need to have at least 5 pairs because for your information, you only allowed wearing baju kurung for classes and lectures. BUT, if this year, they gonna change the rules, I don't know.
- Kunci Mangga - to lock your locker.
- Umbrella, hahaha since you have to walk from your college to the PASUM block (the place where lectures and classes are being conducted) and of course to avoid y'all from getting a fever.
- Toiletries
- Stationaries, specifically y'all need a lot of test pads and pens. Okay, 'bout the books that you should have, don't worry y'all need no books. All the lectures will give their lecture notes for you to study but you have to pay it lah of course, nothing is free in this cruel world. (murah jer dun worry) BUT, there will be some recommendation of books from your lecturers, it is not compulsory for you to have it but I would say that Mathematics book is the one that worth buying. It's really helpful because for me, I'm very slow in this subject, so I always refer to the book. There will be chemistry, biology and physics book during my year, this year I'm not really sure. In case if you're very "rajin", you don't need to buy the books. You can save your money :)
- Last but not least, MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR PARENTS' HOPE and keep it in your heart safely. Hihik.
3. The pattern of learning in PASUM : you're gonna have lectures to attend, classes to attend.
- Lectures are the periods which y'all gonna listen and learn the subject. Y'all need to bring at least pieces of papers and a pen.
- Classes are the periods which y'all will be tutored by the tutor aka teachers. During this time, y'all will discuss all the tutorials(homework given by the lecturers) that you already finished. the marks from the chemistry tutorial will be taken as your carry marks. That's why it's important for you to do it by yourself and score the best no matter what.
- Lab times, for hayat students, there will be 3 sessions: chemistry, biology, and physics. while for fizikal students, there will be 3 sessions also: chemistry, physics, and computer science.
